UPDATE!!! Reciprocity Failure now has a fresh new look and mostly daily posting should resume shortly. So, stay tuned for fabulous new images.

Reciprocity Failure is the break down of the normal relationship between aperture and shutter speed due to change in film sensitivity over long exposure times. In other words, the longer film is exposed to light the less sensitive it becomes. Because of this, the standards used to judge exposure can no longer be trusted and a whole new set of rules must be applied to make an image.

This website is record of my obsession with capturing light. Some images are posted with a larger theme in mind while others are there simply because I find them pleasing. Most images are taken throughout the Chicagoland area where I reside. But, whenever I travel my camera goes as well and some of the results can be found here.
